Can anyone suggest me what is the best liver detox for a person with liver disease?

    I am overweight, and I am happy with myself BUT I know that I need to lose weight =( I can't do ALOT I have lower back problems and it keeps me from walking alot cuz it locks up! I do not eat alot of junk food, or anything like that. Most of the times I just eat one meal a day (some times light snacking though out the day) I need to lose quite a bit of weight. I am shy and want to change! Can someone help me?

    Hey there. I would start out by saying eating only one meal a day is a complete NO NO. In order to get ur metabolsim going u must eat 6 times a day. And at the right proportions. Breakfast is a MUST. And stay away from soda and sugary juices. Water will be ur best bet. I drink a gallon of water daily. And I only drink water. I understand u had said something about ur back. But do some kind of excersize daily. Mabye even get a trainer who is well trained himself to help u out. Try to cut out eating too many carbs and def sugar. Eat a lot of portein and veggies. Good luck

    might want to find a site that deals with weight problems... coming here? A site that deals with addiction of drugs, not sure your gonna get what you need but I think you should of pick this up by now.

    Hi Jennifer,

    I was fat all my life -- even before opiates where I got even fatter. I second the suggestion of finding a forum that focuses on weight loss. The issue is there are a tremendous number of websites about weight loss and dieting. Weeding out real help from those who just want to sell you something is pretty tough and very time consuming.

    How I lost weight and keep it off is somewhat controversial and many don't agree with it, but it works for me. I went Vegan and the weight dropped off almost effortlessly. Seriously...I didn't even try. The toughest part was learning to cook! (I lost 90 pounds over the course of a year and have not gained any back in the 4 years since the initial loss.)

    The China Study by T. Colin Campbell is mind and life changing. It can help you understand how nutrition and what you choose to eat affects your weight, general health, and overall well-being.

    A great Vegan cookbook to start with is Appetite for Reduction by Isa Chandra Moskowitz. She makes Vegan cooking fun and this cookbook focuses on low calorie, high nutrition, and filling dishes.

    I can also point you to a couple of trustworthy Vegan forums if you are interested in this.
