I agree about oxy. I wish I'd never tried it too. It sounds like you are going for it-trying to quit. Good luck tomorrow, day 2 seems like the day most people give up and get a pill. If you make it to day 3, there is no sense in turning back. You can do it if you want to. As for getting back to the way your life was before oxys, it will probably take awhile. At three weeks without oxy, I feel I am just starting to get back to normal. I talked to a girl off 4 months and she felt like she had a ways to go. It takes awhile to reach the point where your life starts to unravel, I figure it will take awhile to get back to where I was before.

Mary, will you make a post on the "FAQs Data" forum under "doctor refferals" thread? Since it seems so hard to find them, I really think it will help if we can build a database for everyone of doctor who we find compassionate and helpful. Just put the docs name and phone or address and anything else you'd like to tell everyone.

First, I am sorry it's been so long since I've been here. Well as you probabaly figured I was bad. Last week things got busy at work as well as extra responsabilities given to me. I had to take something, I fell off. However one good thing about it is that we managed to ween down even more. We did minimal amounts and now today is the first day without anything. We did our last at midnight probably I took 2 ultrams this morning and so far so good. I can handle this and I can accomplish this that is what I keep telling myself. Thanks for the support again. It feels good to be back, and as bad as I am going to be feeling it feels good to know I am heading in the right direction again. Thank you, KB

It is possible to kick the oxys. It's hard and things will get worse before they get better, but it is possible. I've been searching many message boards recently trying to find others who are quitting oxys or have quit. I've found very few. In the circle of users I was in, I don't know anyone who has quit, except those going to the methadone clinic. If you are going to try it, I'd suggest taking off work. All jobs are different, but I know there is no way I could have worked in the 1st week of cold-turkey. Good luck and keep posting. It is possible, even when it feels like it isn't.
