Still here, still clean, some days sneak up on me but most are good. One thing I love most about being clean is how well I sleep, such better quality sleep man! I see a lot of folks bashing subs still these days, especially on this board , I just wanted to say to people who may be reading this, most of the horror stories you read about people having a hell bent time with subs were started at waaaay to high of a dose and on it for waaaay to long. Do your own research people, sub saved me from a sure death, that's all I know! I basically walked off my habit as far as any dope sickness goes. Love to u all here.

Awesome, me too! I have no doubt Suboxone made it possible for me to get clean and saved me from the death I was getting close to. I was only on it 7 months and it did suck for about 3 weeks coming off, but I didn't crave anything, which seemed like a miracle to me. The emotional roller coaster was crazy, but a hell of a lot better than chasing those opies!! There's no better feeling, than being able to feel. I'll have a down moment and my husband will say, do you want to be sad? I forget that I control how I think, which in turn controls how I feel! Glad your still here!

Good to hear you are doing so well Ladi, Yes I'm one of those who bashes sub, but you guys are right, it can help break the cycle if used correctly at reasonable doseages. I tend to focus on the negative stories about the stuff which probably isnt the right thing to do considering that it could possibly prevent someone from getting the help they need from it. Maybe I should focus more on the stories about the Drs who mis-prescribe it instead of the drug itself.
(but in my opinion I still think of it as a nasty designer drug)

    PS on a side note:
Foxface, you said... I'll have a down moment and my husband will say, do you want to be sad? I forget that I control how I think, which in turn controls how I feel!
I like that! Gonna have to keep that one in mind for myself.

Great thread! I somehow just found this! Guess I should pay more attention to the other topics on this site.

I'm a sub bashed too but I abused it. On the flip side, I was able to walk away with little side effects and near zero cravings. I'm still having trouble explaining that but I'm not complaining.

Congrats on the success and your letter should be shared with all!

Lots of good days, hope everyone here is well and happy, Love u guys, and Spring, please focus on the misinformed non caring cattle herding drs over prescribing sub before u pass final judgement on it, sub for detox will soften the blow and in some cases take it completely away, sub long term will destroy you, if u try it start 2 mgs or less and taper off to micrograms in less than 14 days. If u deal with anything at all it will be minor, almost laughable. The mind rape is the hard part, u gotta fix that au naturale'

Hey all, still alive, still happy ..most days, lol! Its a weird feeling when you learn the world isnt all about you, even late into my recovery I still wanted it to be all about me, It was one of the hardest things to let go of. It was always my way or nothing. I take far more pleasure in helping others these days, even when it is unappreciated, I can take away good from it, so ya, anyways not much else, Hope all the "old Timers" here are doing well and much hope and love to anyone new. Dont be scared to hit me up
