My name is Ashley and I am here to seek help about my boyfriend, of 4 years.

Long story short, a year into our relationship he got prescribed Tylenol 3's, and as minute as that may sound, it got him hooked. He then moved to Percoset 30mgs, and then eventually to OxyContin. From 20 mgs working up to 80mgs. He entered rehab but did it to save our relationship, not for himself. They started him on the Suboxone and he lied and told me he was doing the no-med program. Needless to say when he got out the Subs weren't enough and he started using again. I was not aware of him using for another couple months. When I found out I left, and he spiraled downhill from there. I heard rumors that he was using heroin IV and I did not think that was even a possibility. Until i showed up to his home and seen the marks on his arms. I suggested rehab but of course he wasn't up for it. Eventually he came to his senses a little bit, and decided to start going to a clinic.

He goes everyday, early mornings, and gets a take home dose on Saturday, for Sunday morning. He is getting Naltraxone and has been for about 3 months. My question is, how long will he have to take this. I am not positive of the dosage, and when I ask him he says he is not sure of the exact dosage, but he knows its small. He is CONSTANTLY sweating, even if its cold, always blotchy in the face, and extreme fatigue. Could he be using again??? I need help. Any advice/ experience with Naltraxone would help tremendously. Any one get completely clean from using it? I have tried so many places for help and i figure it is best to hear from people with actual experience.

Thank you so much in advance!!

Sounds like he is going to a Methadone klinic. Naltrexone is not dispensed this way.

The sweating and extreme fatigue indicate high dose methadone. If he is lying and telling you he is getting naltrexone from the clinic, I think you have your answer. He probably has no intention of getting off of opiates.

I was thinking the same Freak..... I didn't want to say it since I neve went the route of Nal. but sure sounds like meth to me.

I Don't like meth myself but I feel its better and safer then Sub. or little difference. i do think there is a place for it. Not for my life but if one cant stop the street dope it may be better then shooting h.

Freakedout...are you sure that Nal is not dispensed this way?

I have done some research and I found the clinic he is going to. I know he is going because I see the bills and receipts for the visits. I tried calling but there is no answer as of now. I will post back what I find out. Thank you both!

I am not sure of this but I thought nal is either with implant or pill. Neither requires daily visits to a clinic.

I could be total wrong though since I am not in the game any longer. so much more crap is coming out like the bath salts etc. LOL. would of never thought I would be naive about any drugs. I am today. LOL so different.

Ok well like I said, I am going to call the clinic tomorrow when I know it is open to try and figure out if they do dispense the Nal. daily. And the things they are coming out with are kinda crazy. Its basically moving a person to one addiction to another, and thankfully I have never had to exeriance it. I have been around it a lot though throughout my life, and it is so crazy how something can take control. Congrats on being clean and Thanks again!
