Hit wager PLUS final score in a big pool...now can tell boss to go FO and take time to complete final detox off Sub (was going to lose job otherwise).

There is a Divine Power... life is funny - you never know what's around the corner...you can never give up! Sorry, had to share this ...but almost at the end of my rope before tonite.

What a sense of relief... as the Traffic song goes: You never know what tomorrow will bring. Everybody in trouble - hang in there... as long as your intentions are good - you will pull through!!

Awesome, keep gambling and let me know how that goes for ya. That must have been some wager you put down, you can leave your job now?? Wish you the best with that. Perhaps you should take that money and check into a detox, then maybe a 90 day program. You have time and money now, thats what I would do.

    Best wishes,
    Tom

i lost a 20 dollar pool. but we only put in one buck a piece. hahah.

and our questions were not about who would win, since we all wanted NYC baby! but more along the lines of "first celebrity in commercial non-tv or movie related after the kick off" or "first penalty" etc. that was a pretty fun pool. there were like 35 questions. i did bad. hahahahaha!!

first animal was a horse, i guessed monkey. monkey wasn't even the last animal. sigh.

thank you giants for not making my Packers look like chumps!!!

Hi Tom, The bet(Giants straight-up) was relatively small, the pool was ~ 2 months wages. Not a bad idea about the detox but can accomplish at home just as well. If I had a lotta dough, would love to go to one of those holistic treatment centers.

Been associated with sports/gambling since a kid,and years later even takin action. Was never addicted in the true sense but got carried away at times when doing so. Funny, out of 4 brothers - 3 in AA and 1 with severe gambling prob that he has recently got some help. Actually found that you can have more fun watching a game w/o added pressure of betting. I use to wonder what addiction is more destructive that have striking similarities.I kind of came out of retirement last half of football season betting against the Pats because of over-inflated lines. I live in Boston area (Steeler fan - lived there when young) and the media coverage was just overwhelming that contibuted to their demise, w/handwriting on the wall.

Most of the public detoxes were closed here by the SOB Romney admin, which cost a bother a job. Also, kind of difficult to find one that doesn't implement Sub or Meth to detox - whats the point!

With added leverage, talked w/employer and told him I was going to be taking off some time off (didn't mention score) and was understanding. Now in the process of weaning off oxy's that I tried to use judiciuosly to halt lingering Sub wds (you know the end of that experiment). Now armed with a few hydros and time I can get it done. Ironically I mentioned the group Traffic in last post, going to see Dave Mason in March and I want to be C&S to really hear the music. Lotsa luck to all...PT
