This was truly an amazing artist, who has placed her mark in music, that will forever be adored and appreciated.

She is also one of us. Everytime I see one of these stories blown up in the news, it makes me realize that no one is immune to it. (I realize that cause of death has yet to have been determined, it can be reasonably assumed that she likely died from drugs, or secondary effects the drugs she has used, on her body, which may have in turn ultimately caused a drowning) But this is neither here nor there.

This arguably one of the most beautiful renditions of the National Anthem. She makes it look so effortless.

Man.... f-ing outstanding!!! She did it so righteously. I can't stand when a diva, or any other accomplished vocalist, 'ghettos' it all up with a bunch of up & down the scales bravado. Her very subtle 'liberties' with our National Anthem were absolutely tasteful... and spot-on.

Another shamefully wasted soul & talent.

RIP, Whitney Houston. You are, absolutely, one of 'us'. Thank you for your best, when you had it to give.

    With love....
