created by the popularity of online/overseas pharmacies, never before in the history of our country have we seen such an epidemic of people addicted to pain pills. Where are you when we REALLY need you DEA?
Buprenorphine aka Suboxone/Subutex was thought of as a gift from God Himself when it was first approved in the US for addiction treatment over five years ago. Now many are discovering that it isnt such a miracle drug afterall.... Find yourself stuck on Suboxone? This forum exists for the purpose of providing feedback, support, guidance, and hope in your quest to be free of all opiates. IT CAN BE DONE!!
Methadone has been around since the 1960s yet still remains a controversial subject today. An opiate used to treat opiate addiction...it is reportedly the most difficult of all opiates to detox from. Here you will find discussion/help/support/and encouragement from those who have detoxed from Methadone and are living drug free; those currently detoxing or tapering from Methadone; current Methadone patients; and others interested in the issues of Methadone detox and recovery.
Addiction affects every aspect of our lives; the physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, you name it. These forums are dedicated to the problems of addiction; some of the various known methods for the physical detox; and how to stay off.
This forum is specifically for discussing the detox component as compared to the rehabilitation component of a program.

Just for family and friends please.
As for the guy who so many years ago told me that a fix would numb my emotional pain and make my life easier to live....it would have been much kinder of him to have put a gun to my head and blown my brains out.
UROD aka Ultra Rapid Opiate Detox There is really nothing "rapid" about it according to the dozens upon dozens of personal horror stories from those who have had the experience with this procedure. UROD is usually followed with Naltrexone(Revia)either in pill form or as an implant. We suggest you do a thorough research before deciding on this method.
Okay so now you are detoxed. You're clean. Now what? Getting clean is only the beginning.... The following forums are dedicated to some of the various methods used to stay clean.
I once heard the difference between spirituality and religion explained by an old timer at an AA meeting.... His said that Religion is for people who are afraid to go to hell. Spirituality is for those who have been there and dont want to go back. We addicts have undoubtedly been thru hell and once clean need to find a power greater than ourselves to help keep us from going back there. Those who say they can do this alone are either lying or are not yet clean and havent tried.
The research has been done, the instructions to stop the madness are available at your local meeting.... NA was originally created by heroin addicts for heroin addicts in the 1950s. Fashioned after the Alcoholics Anonymous program, the NA program has helped 100s of 1000s of addicts to live a successfully recovering life. This forum is not necessarily NA only. There are many facets to addiction and just as many 12 step programs. Welcome to those who are already 12 steppers and to those who are curious or interested in learning about the program. Please folks let's keep it positive! If you think NA meetings are a bunch of malarky or if you think it's not for you then by all means feel free to refrain from posting.
This section of the forum is where we try to keep matters light and simple. While it may not be the first place to come for serious help, it is a place for folks in all stages of detox and recovery. A good place to kick back, discuss most anything, and not detract from the more serious nature of the board. Topics here can range from discussion on TV and movies, to musical interests or just plain BS'ing around, demonstrating that laughter truly CAN be the best medicine. Let out a link and have some fun....
